About my self

I’m Parthiban, a strategic and creative UX Design Leader with 18+ years of experience shaping high-impact digital experiences across global markets. My journey has taken me through organizations like Mphasis, Goldman Sachs, and ING Vysya Bank, and across cultures and teams in India, France, Spain, and the United States. These diverse collaborations have shaped the way I understand users, design systems, and build products that resonate across markets.

I specialize in solving complex problems using Design Thinking, User-Centered Design, and AI-driven workflows, blending creativity with strategy to deliver scalable and intuitive experiences. I’m trained in Design Thinking at IIM Bangalore and I’m an IBM Certified Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner, which has strengthened my ability to approach problems holistically — from insights to outcomes.

My experience spans Airlines, Banking & Finance, Energy Management, Automation, and E-commerce, giving me a versatile foundation to design for enterprise-grade complexity. I’ve led global UX teams, facilitated workshops, built design systems, and transformed workflows through AI and DesignOps thinking.

Before stepping into leadership roles, I spent six years exploring UX as an independent consultant — an entrepreneurial phase that taught me adaptability, ownership, and the value of client-centric design. With a Master’s degree in Visual Communication, my passion for photography and filmmaking continues to inspire my creative perspective and storytelling approach in UX.

Design Thinking

I adopt Design Thinking to solve complex user problems by following a structured, user-centered approach. Design Thinking is a methodology that provides a solution-based approach to solving problems. It is extremely useful in tackling complex problems that are ill-defined or unknown. Here's how I typically approach it

Empathize

Understand the users and their needs through observation, engagement, and immersing oneself in their experiences.

Define

Clearly articulate the problem you want to solve by synthesizing the information gathered during the empathize phase.

Generate a range of ideas and potential solutions through brainstorming sessions and creative thinking techniques.

Ideate
Prototype

Build tangible representations for a subset of ideas. Prototypes can be anything from sketches to physical models.

Test

Engage users with the prototypes to gather feedback and refine the solutions.
